I enjoyed a really interesting day walking the Smethwick Places of Worship Heritage Trail, which is organised by Canon Dr Andrew Smith, the Director of Interfaith Relations for the Bishop of Birmingham. I was delighted to be joined by my Sandwell WM Police Cadet Sophia and my two WM Fire Cadets Isabelle and Tyler.
The walk gave us an introduction to the fascinating history of Sandwell as well as the rich variety of religious communities that live alongside one another in the area. A big thank you in particular for those who were so welcoming at the Durga Bhawan Mandir and Gurdwara Baba Sang Ji.
