I was really pleased to join the Lord Lieutenant and the Lord Mayor of Birmingham in attending the annual carol Service for St John Ambulance in the West Midlands, which was held at St Paul’s Church in the Jewellery Quarter.
It was also an opportunity to present awards a number of volunteers in recognition of their exceptional service to the organisation, in some cases of many years.
St John continues to deliver a critically important service across the West Midlands in education and support in relation to a variety of medical emergencies.
I was delighted that my two High Sheriff Cadets Annika and Charlotte were able to join me on this special occasion.
