I had a really fun afternoon at the Birmingham Hippodrome seeing the Pantomime with my High Sheriff Cadets.
I have been lucky enough to have 11 Cadets from West Midlands Police, West Midlands Fire Service and St John Ambulance support me during my Shrieval year. In addition to their support at my Declaration Service and Annual Justice service, I have attended a number of events at their respective units. I have also tried to give the Cadets the opportunity to accompany me to a number of the major civic events during the year such as Mayoral Ceremonies, the installation of new Bishops, Remembrance Sunday, VJ Day, VE Day and Armed Forces week.
The trip to the Hippodrome was not only great fun, it also gave me an opportunity to thank the Cadets and their Leaders and Chaperones for their support during the year.
