I was delighted to attend the Chancellor’s Dinner in the Great Hall of the University of Birmingham to celebrate 125 years since the university was founded.
My wife Amanda enjoyed being back, as she graduated from Birmingham with a law degree, which is exactly what the new Chancellor Sandie Okra OBE did – plus it was nice to catch up with Sandie as she is also a fellow Governor at the RSC.
It was a super opportunity to catch up with so many civic and business leaders from across the city and to hear from the Vice Chancellor Adam Tickell about the many examples of outstanding work that are being undertaken and the contribution that the University makes at a local, national and international level.
