I visited Bosnia House in Birmingham and had a wide ranging discussion with Anes Ceric, the Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Midlands.
It was really encouraging to learn more about how the Bosnian community has been welcomed in to the West Midlands since fleeing their country during the war in the 1990’s and the steps they are taking to contribute to the communities in which they are living, most notably in Birmingham and Coventry. In addition they have been using their own experience assist people who have more recently arrived in the UKl from Ukraine.
