High Sheriff Events

I was delighted to visit St Regis CE Academy in Wolverhampton for an insightful tour of the school and the opportunity to learn more about the work taking place across the academy.

My thanks go to The Rev Dr Ian Terry for inviting me, and to Ed Parry, Executive Principal, and Chris Green, Head of School, for taking the time to show me around and share so much information about the school, its pupils and its approach to education.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the peaceful and inclusive atmosphere at St Regis. There was a real sense of community throughout the school, with pupils from all backgrounds clearly feeling comfortable, supported and valued.

As we toured the academy, it was wonderful to see so many pupils engaged in their lessons. Classrooms felt calm and purposeful, with students clearly focused on their learning and teachers creating an environment where they could participate and thrive.

I was particularly pleased to hear more about the school’s commitment to ensuring every young person has the opportunity to reach their potential, alongside the importance placed on respect, empathy and responsibility.

It was a pleasure to see the school in action and to meet some of the pupils and staff who make St Regis such a welcoming community. Thank you again to Ian, Ed and Chris for such an informative and enjoyable visit.
