I was delighted to be invited to visit the Sikh Helpline in West Bromwich, which from modest beginnings 30 years ago, now provides trusted support to over 5,000 people per annum. It operates across the UK and for all Faiths, but has a small team core of staff, supplemented by a significant number of volunteers who listen, support and where appropriate sign post people to specialist assistance.
