I had a really enjoyable afternoon at the Walsall TLC Centre alongside the Mayor of Walsall at the annual Christmas Party. This annual event brings together young people leaving the care of Walsall Council, to celebrate their achievements, remind them of the support that remains available to them and spread a little festive cheer.
Over 80 young people attended the event and enjoyed a fine Christmas lunch and received a Christmas gift and hamper funded through gifts and cash donations.
The Mayor and I also had the opportunity to learn more about the House Project which provides intensive support to young people to equip them with the essential skills to live life in a more independent fashion.
