I was delighted to attend the West Midlands Police Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Eid event, where I also had the honour of speaking.
The event was a wonderful celebration, bringing together colleagues and members of the community in a spirit of warmth, reflection and togetherness. It was a privilege to hear from others about what Eid means to them personally, and to share in such thoughtful and insightful conversations. These perspectives highlighted the deep significance of Eid as a time of celebration, gratitude and community.
The atmosphere throughout was truly welcoming and celebratory, with great food and excellent conversation helping to create a strong sense of connection among all those present. Events such as this play an important role in strengthening understanding and positive relationships across diverse communities.
My sincere thanks go to Khadija Sulaiman and the West Midlands Police Chaplaincy team for organising such a thoughtful and well-run event. Their continued work in bringing people together from different faiths and backgrounds is both valued and important.
